Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced Food Quality Assurance Manager to join our client's dynamic team. As the Food Quality Assurance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in upholding the highest standards of food safety and product quality.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the subject matter expert on food safety and quality assurance regulations, trends, and legislation, with a focus on procurement and product sourcing. Collaborate closely with operations, Supply Chain, and other departments to provide expert guidance and oversee the effective implementation of Food Safety and Quality Assurance programs. Lead both internal and external operational audit evaluations related to quality and food safety, driving continuous improvement initiatives. Manage investigations, reporting of quality issues, market withdrawals, and recalls, while implementing robust internal audit control processes in the Quality Assurance/food safety domain. Cultivate strong relationships with customer technical personnel, aligning objectives, and achieving business success. Monitor and manage product controls, Certificates of Analysis (COA), allergens, rework, rejected products, and customer complaints to ensure swift resolution. Conduct mock recalls and review Quality Control or vendor deviations as required. Provide Regulatory Technical Information and contribute to research and development efforts for new and revised specifications of raw materials, finished goods, and packaging. Act as a key quality and food safety partner for Sales, Manufacturing, and Research and Development, proactively addressing production and product quality challenges. Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field. 3-5 years of proven managerial experience in food manufacturing and Quality Assurance. Ability to work independently and deliver results within proposed deadlines. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
